In the Galleries: Art Quilters Unlimited and Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild

Friday, August 28 | 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. | Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers

Walk through a gallery full of quilts, fine craft and mixed media made by local artists. The Foulds Theater Gallery also has paintings by N.C. Hagood. The show hangs through September 26, so you can stop in Friday or come back another day.

Auditions: Summoning the Damned

Saturday, August 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, August 30, 1 to 3 p.m. | Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers

The Alliance is casting local actors for the haunted house it will run in October. Bring a headshot and a resume, wear clothes you can move in, and plan to stay the full two hours.

ACMA presents The Songwriter’s Living Room

Saturday, August 29 | Doors at 6:30 p.m., show at 7 p.m. | Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers

Singer-songwriters Hank Woji and Roy Schneider share the stage and trade songs, influences and stories. Tickets are $18 for ACMA and Alliance members and $20 for everyone else.
