Alliance for the Arts is building a haunted house for October, and it needs local people to bring it to life. Open auditions for Summoning the Damned are set for this weekend at the Alliance campus on McGregor Boulevard.
Auditions run Saturday, August 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, August 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. Bring a headshot and a resume. Dress in clothes you can move in. You will be asked to improvise, so plan to stay for the full two hours if you can.
What the role asks for
Each character has four rehearsals. Most dates are flexible, with one in September, one in October and an emergency training session in October. The final dress rehearsal is the evening of Friday, October 16, and that one is required.
Performance nights are October 17, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Roles may be double cast, so you do not have to commit to all eight shows. Dates and times can shift.
The maze itself will be built inside the Alliance’s main stage Foulds Theatre.
