What if a night out with friends, coworkers or family could also help make Lee County a cleaner, greener and more beautiful place?
Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) invites the community to do just that at its annual Topgolf Fundraiser on Thursday, January 21st, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Topgolf Fort Myers. The event brings together local businesses, community partners and supporters for an evening of golf, friendly competition, food and fun, all while supporting environmental programs throughout Lee County.
Whether you are an experienced golfer or have never picked up a club, Topgolf offers an easygoing way to get involved. Guests can gather a team, reserve a bay and enjoy an evening together while knowing their participation is helping make a difference right here at home.
For Keep Lee County Beautiful, the fundraiser is about much more than golf.
Throughout the year, KLCB works with volunteers, businesses, schools and community organizations to improve and protect the places that make Lee County special. From beaches and waterways to parks, neighborhoods and roadsides, volunteers give their time to remove litter and marine debris before it can impact wildlife and the environment.
But the work does not stop with cleanups. KLCB coordinates projects that create lasting improvements across the community, including tree and mangrove plantings, sea oats restoration, gardens and other beautification efforts. Through its environmental education program, KLCB also works with students, schools and community groups to build awareness about litter prevention, recycling and environmental stewardship and inspire people of all ages to take an active role in protecting Southwest Florida.
Fundraisers like Topgolf help make these efforts possible.
Proceeds from the event support KLCB’s environmental education, litter prevention, community cleanups, beautification and habitat restoration programs. That support helps KLCB provide educational opportunities, equip volunteers with cleanup supplies and carry out projects that improve public spaces, protect waterways and natural habitats, and create a cleaner, greener and more beautiful Lee County.
The annual Topgolf Fundraiser is one example of how local support translates into action. What begins as a fun evening with friends and colleagues ultimately helps put supplies into volunteers’ hands, support environmental projects and create more opportunities for people to get involved.
The event is also a great opportunity for local businesses to participate together. Companies can bring employees, clients or friends for a relaxed evening outside the office while supporting an organization working throughout Lee County. Sponsorship opportunities provide another way for businesses and community partners to demonstrate their commitment to the local environment.
Last year’s event brought together local businesses, community leaders and environmental supporters for an evening of golf, friendly competition, food, prizes and networking. This January, KLCB looks forward to once again filling the bays with people ready to have some fun while supporting a cleaner and more beautiful community.
Every cleanup, planting and beautification project starts with people who care about where they live. By joining KLCB at Topgolf, participants can help ensure that this work continues throughout the year.
Gather your friends, coworkers or clients and take a swing for a cleaner Lee County on Thursday, January 21st, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Topgolf Fort Myers.
