Baseball fans, here is your chance to bring home a real piece of Fort Myers history.
The City of Fort Myers is selling the original stadium seats from City of Palms Park, the downtown ballpark where the Boston Red Sox held spring training for nearly two decades. As the City of Palms Park era comes to a close, the city is offering the seats to the public while supplies last.
Generations of Southwest Florida families spent spring afternoons in those seats, watching big leaguers and future stars warm up for the season just a few miles from the Caloosahatchee. Now those same seats can live on in a den, a garage, a man cave, or a backyard dugout.
To purchase seats or learn more about payment methods and pickup, call Fort Myers City Hall at (239) 321-7022. The city says quantities are limited, so fans who want one should not wait.
