Southwest Florida showed up in a big way for this year’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Recently, our community came together with the National Association of Letter Carriers to help stock pantry shelves across the region, and the impact was immediate. Thanks to the generosity of local residents and the dedication of letter carriers and volunteers, more than 45,000 pounds of food were collected in a single day.
From neighborhoods to apartment complexes, families filled donation bags with shelf-stable essentials and left them by their mailboxes. Letter carriers picked up those donations along their routes and delivered them directly to support hunger-relief efforts across Southwest Florida.
“Stamp Out Hunger makes it easy for our community to take action right from their mailbox,” said Richard LeBer. “And once again, Southwest Florida responded with incredible generosity.”
Every can, box, and bag collected will help provide meals for neighbors facing food insecurity across Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties. These donations will be distributed through our network of more than 170 agency partners, helping ensure families have access to the food they need.
Annually, Stamp Out Hunger remains the nation’s largest single-day food drive and continues to make a meaningful difference locally. It proves that when a community comes together, even the smallest act can help change lives. We are deeply grateful to the letter carriers, volunteers, and every resident who participated. Your support helps bring hope and food to the table for thousands of our neighbors.
