If your summer needs a spark, the Alliance for the Arts has a packed July calendar at its McGregor Boulevard campus.
Saturdays start with the Alliance Morning Market at 9:00 AM, followed by Family ArtLab at 10:00 AM, a hands-on session for kids and parents to create together. At noon, the Reel Families film series screens a family-friendly pick.
This Saturday, July 18 at 5:00 PM, the Alliance hosts a staged reading of a new play, “Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Speckled Band.”
During the week, there are classes for nearly every age and skill level: painting and watercolor sessions, an intro to digital art on Procreate for ages 15 and up, a teen multimedia studio, and a writers circle called The Quill.
